My Story

Fresno has been home to me for more than twenty two years, ever since my family and I moved north to be closer to my wife’s relatives. What started as a simple relocation turned into a deep connection with the Central Valley — its neighborhoods, its people, and real estate community.

I’ve always had a hands-on relationship with homes. After realizing the enjoyment of building my own house, I went on to complete three more builds while working full time as a real estate appraiser. That combination of construction experience and valuation expertise shaped the way I see properties today: every home tells a story, and every detail matters.

During my appraisal career, agents and clients often complimented the photos I included in my reports. Those comments planted the earliest seeds of what would eventually become Open House Shoot. I realized that strong visuals weren’t just helpful — they were essential.

Before settling in Fresno, I spent three years selling real estate in Southern California. That experience taught me how crucial it is to market listings effectively to attract serious buyers. My valuation background helped me price homes accurately, giving sellers confidence that their listing price wasn’t too high or too low for the current market. It was a blend of art and analysis — and it still influences how I approach real estate industry today.

Life has brought wonderful changes along the way. I’ve remarried, and my wife Joanie is incredibly supportive — even when I’m out shooting late in the evening to keep clients happy. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on a tennis court two or three times a week. I’m also a regular YouTube watcher, especially for sports and tutorials that help me keep learning and improving.
